Ian Ashworth, Managing Director of Networx3 Group Ltd.

Has over over 30 years in the telecoms industry.

In his early career, trained as a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry, implanting a diligent and quality driven manner of working which has been replicated throughout my experience in Telecoms service delivery, prior to setting up Networx3 in 2003. Ian is always looking for innovation and development, despite his long service in the industry, he has always strived for further knowledge and evolution and doesn’t shy away from new opportunities and newfound methods of installation.

Ian hopes to bring a knowledgeable but open mind to the FIA council, keeping his finger on the pulse of the industry but also debating and testing new methods and processes and giving an honest and informed injection of humour and informed contribution within the industry.

Chris Bacon, Sales Director/Co-Owner at Webro Cables and Connectors. has spent 29 years in the cable and connectivity industry with roles in technical, design, sales & management. He's a practical man, who likes to solve problems and get his hands dirty, living in Lancashire (North West),  married with two children and like to spend time walking my dogs, carrying out DIY projects and following football.

Matt Birch, Managing Director of Birch Technical is a dedicated and accomplished fibre optics and communications cabling engineer with over 17 years of global experience across a broad range of sectors. In his current role as managing director at Birch Technical Services, who oversees the quality, design, install and safety on all our fibre optic projects.

He's hoping to share his expertise and knowledge with the FIA council and its members, giving valuable insight into the technical and practical aspect of fibre optic installation. He believes having a regulating body will be a huge benefit for the entire industry, contributing to this is something we should all feel strongly about.
