THE FIA QUALIFICATION SCHEME DIRECTORATE (QSD)


The FIA Qualification Scheme Directorate (QSD) is a sub-set of the FIA Council and comprises:
the Training Director;
the Qualifications Director;
at least one other FIA Council Member.

The Chairman for the QSD is chosen by the FIA Council after each AGM, and will report to the FIA Council at each FIA Council meeting.

The majority of the QSD meetings will be held on the same day as FIA Council meetings, but additional meetings will be arranged as necessary.


It is the responsibility of the QSD to ensure the FIA Qualification Scheme develops and satisfies the requirements of the fibre optics industry.

In addition to the administration of the Qualification Scheme, the role of the QSD is to ensure that the Qualification Scheme remains manageable whilst providing for as wide a cross-section of the industry as possible.

The QSD is governed by the Qualification Scheme Charter.
