FULL AND OVERSEAS MEMBERSHIP

CORPORATE Membership is open only to those who are directly involved in the fibre optic telecommunications industry and are manufacturers, distributors, re-sellers, consultants, installers, systems integrators, training providers etc.
what do Corporate Members get?

ASSOCIATE Membership is open only to USERS of fibre optic products, systems and/or services in the sense that they buy-in these facilities for their own networks.
what do Associate Members get?

PERSONAL Membership is open any individual wishing to join the FIA. Personal Members may not be directors or officers of potential corporate members.
what do Personal Members get?

STUDENT Membership is open to students at least 17 years old and undergoing a regular course of further education on a subject of relevance to the fibre optic industry.

 To encourage long term corporate membership, the FIA offer members a renewal discount on their membership fees.


FULL Membership
Corporate, Associate, Personal and Student Members in the UK automatically receive "FULL" membership status.

OVERSEAS Membership applies to Corporate and Associate Members outside the UK who join via the FIA Secretariat either because they wish to deal direct or because there is no relevant FIA Regional Office.

Overseas members do not receive discounted access to events and seminars operated in the UK or other areas serviced by FIA Regional Offices. As a result the fees for international membership are lower than for full membership.
