APPROVED INSTALLER FEES


Clearly, the Mk. II FIA Approval Scheme is significantly more sophisticated than its predecessor. In addition, the provision of on-line assistance that can be applied not only to optical fibre but also to other telecommunications cabling projects will be of benefit to a number of our members.

INITIAL APPLICATION FEES
The administration of and assessment of the basic approval detailed above costs £450.00 (excluding VAT). This one-off fee is non-returnable if an application fails.
NOTE: waived if applicant is ECA-ITEC Approved

APPLICATION COMPLETION FEES - YEAR 1
Following successful assessment a completion fee is charged to cover the first years approval. This fee is dependent on Corporate status as follows:
Corporate A: £200.00 (excluding VAT);
Corporate B: £500.00 (excluding VAT);
Corporate C: £900.00 (excluding VAT).


FULL APPROVAL FEES - YEAR 2+
This fee is dependent on Corporate status as follows:
Corporate A: £200.00 (excluding VAT);
Corporate B: £500.00 (excluding VAT);
Corporate C: £900.00 (excluding VAT).

AUDIT FEES
At end of each of the first three years (prior to renewal for the following year) an audit is undertaken at a charge of £300 (excluding VAT).

After the first three years an audit is only undertaken every three years at a charge of £300 (excluding VAT).

Based on a years trading, FIA Approved Installer status therefore costs less than £7 per day - not a great deal to ensure that an installer is operating to recognised risk-management processes
