APPROVED INSTALLER FEES


Clearly, the Mk. II FIA Approval Scheme is significantly more sophisticated than its predecessor. In addition, the provision of software tools and on-line assistance that can be applied not only to optical fibre but also to other telecommunications cabling projects will be of benefit to a number of our members.

BASIC APPROVAL FEES

The administration of the basic approval detailed above costs £100.00 (excluding VAT). This one-off fee is non-returnable if an application fails.


FULL APPROVAL FEES - YEAR 1

Full FIA Approved Installer status, including the supply of, and training in the use of, the Approved Installer Database and full access to the service outlined above costs £900.00 (excluding VAT) for the first year and is reduced in subsequent years.

FULL APPROVAL FEES - YEAR 2+

Subsequent years will be charged at £775 (excluding VAT).

Based on a years trading, FIA Approved Installer status therefore costs less than £4 per day - not a great deal to ensure that an installer is operating to recognised risk-management processes.


The full approval fees, in effect, cover the cost of the random but annual audi, the service packs for the Approved Installer Database software and updates to the on-line/local help files.
