Installers are required to apply the risk reduction elements described
in the On-Line Assistance to their installation planning and implementation.
These risk reduction elements are also extremely useful to customers
and their consultants in ensuring that the specification and contracts
that they produce also minimise risk. NOTE: although the
On-line Assistance is a key part
of the FIA AIS, the risk elements are equally
applicable to the installation of any
type of cabling infrastructure transmission
technology
Customers
and consultants can access the On-line Assistance via a series of
web-pages by clicking on the icons shown on the right. A comprehensive
index is
also provided (click here for an overview).
Customers and consultants are encouraged
to join the FIA as associate members to obtain access to the full
documentation (which can be customised to suit their needs).
