APPROVED INSTALLER DATABASE
The Approved Installer Database
is essentially a set of risk elements to which the Installer is
asked to respond at one or more stages of an installation. Each
element requires to be completed as a “YES”, a “NO”
or “N/A”.
Elements are arranged in logical groups.
There are four primary areas of risk - Design/Specification Construction Installation Customer
Each area comprises a number of sub-groups.
In a very few cases there are further sub-groups that contain additional
risk elements.

Upon completion of each project, the Approved
Installer is required to submit the record-keeping i.e. the contents
of the Approved Installer Database for that project via e-mail
to the FIA.
The
Approved Installer may wish to enhance the Approved Installer
Database to include other information and the FIA may be able
to provide assistance in this area. Any additional features
(including commercial data) and non-relevant installation records
is stripped out before the data is provided to the FIA .
The simplest Site
Database is a standalone PC Microsoft Access database. However,
other Site Databases will be produced by the FIA to interface
with specific applications on PDAs.
