Approval is available to any FIA Corporate
Member that has demonstrated and continues to demonstrate compliance
with the requirements of the scheme.
The Application
Form shall be completed together with appropriate payment.
Approval
is awarded to the Installer via a nominated Qualifying Supervisor
who is deemed responsible for the ongoing safety, quality and technical
aspects of the work performed by the Installer.
The
Qualifying Supervisor is the primary contact of the AIS for all
FIA matters and shall be present during the initial assessment process,
any subsequent reviews and any on-site inspections.
Supervisors
qualifications will be reviewed as
part of the assessment process (copies
of all revelant qualifications
shall be submitted to the FIA).
The initial
assessment is essentially identical to that of ECA-ITEC Approval.
Therefore, if the applicant already has that approval the Part 1
assessment is waived and only the Part 2 assessment is required.
NOTE:
the Part 2 assessment is not chargegable and there is no assessment
charge for applicants that are already ECA-ITEC Approved. This is
a result of co-operation between the FIA and ECA-ITEC within the
TIA-B environment.
Following the completion of the initial
assessment, continued approval requires the submission to the FIA
AIS Directorate of one Installation
Risk Reduction Profile (IRRP) per quarter.
The
size of the project covered by the IRRP is unimportant and no commercial
details are contained within the IRRP. However, the renewal audit
undertaken by the FIA will be based on a selection of the submitted
IRRPs
