The procedure for document development is controlled by the TIA-B Directorate. If you have a topic that you wish to discuss please contact the Directorate .

Document development procedure


Standards Interpretation Document (SID)
A SID is a document which explains the requirements and recommendations of one or more standards on a specific topic. The TIA-B will seek endorsement from the responsible standards body for the content of the SID.

Infrastructure Advisory Note (IAN)
An IAN provides information and advice outside specific standardisation activity.
